I have had my own practice for sixteen years and 99% of my practice is divorce and child custody. The remainder is step-parent adoptions, juvenile law, and miscellaneous family-related matters. I am committed to helping families that are separating come through this most difficult time in the best manner possible. Depending on the situation, this may mean focusing on the children's needs, meeting financial needs, or insuring an equitable distribution of debt. Frequently, all these issues and more are involved.

Divorce can be an emotionally wrenching, time-consuming, and expensive experience, especially if your case goes to trial. But an experienced, compassionate attorney can help minimize these negative aspects of divorce.

Divorce is difficult at best. I attempt to make it less so. I provide individualized services, and settle most of my cases after thorough preparation by negotiated settlements between the parties through their attorneys, thereby avoiding trial. I am the mother of two young children, which gives me added insight to assist my clients with custody and parenting issues. I listen and provide the information my clients need to make the important decisions affecting their lives.

I also have a Bachelor's degree in accounting from Michigan State University in addition to my experience as both an attorney and mother. This allows me to better assist my clients with the numerous financial aspects of a divorce.
